Binance referral code not working — how to fix it

If your Binance referral code is not working, the most common causes are: the code field was not visible on mobile (tap “Have a Referral ID?” to expand), the code was entered after submitting the form (only accepted at registration), the code itself has been deactivated by the referrer, or the country restriction blocks the bonus part. The 20% fee rebate normally activates after KYC completion and first trade.

Why the Binance referral code field appears hidden on mobile

On the Binance mobile app, the Referral ID field is collapsed by default under a small “Have a Referral ID?” link below the password field. Many users miss it and submit registration without entering the code. The 2026 app update placed this link in a lighter grey font, making it easier to overlook.

If you see only Email, Password, and Confirm Password fields on the signup screen, look directly under the password field for a small link labeled “Have a Referral ID?” or “I have a code”. Tap it to expand the input field, then paste your code.

On desktop, the same field exists on the binance.com/register page but is usually shown by default. If hidden, scroll down before clicking Continue.

How to confirm the code is properly applied before submitting

After entering a Binance referral code at signup, you should see a green checkmark or a small confirmation text like “Referral code applied” near the field. Some account types also display the referrer name (e.g. “PromoCode Network (Code: PRM26)”) on the next step. If neither appears, the code has not registered correctly.

If the green checkmark does not appear, try these in order: clear the field and re-type the code without spaces, refresh the page (this loses other form data, so do it first), check that browser autofill has not added invisible characters, and try a different browser if the issue persists.

The bonus part is not credited — why?

The 20% lifetime fee rebate from the referral code activates automatically after KYC. The welcome bonus (currently up to 100 USD) requires meeting specific conditions: deposit at least 50 USD within 14 days, complete identity verification, and place a first qualifying trade. Missing any of these prevents the bonus tier from unlocking.

Check your status in Binance Rewards Hub. Each task shows current progress — completed, in progress, or expired. The rebate (different from the welcome bonus) is paid daily in USDT to your spot wallet within 24 hours of each trade and is unaffected by the welcome conditions.

Related questions

Does Binance show an error if the code is invalid?

Usually yes — you see “Invalid referral code” or the green checkmark fails to appear. If the field accepts the code without confirmation, treat it as not applied.

Can I retry with a different code after the first one fails?

Yes, until you submit the registration form. After submit, the field is locked.

Why does my code work but the rebate is only 5%?

Because the code-holder set their share lower. PRM26 is set to the full 20% rebate tier.

Bottom line

Most “code not working” issues are either a hidden mobile field or trying to add the code after signup. Use PRM26 at registration, expand the Referral ID field on mobile, and confirm the green checkmark before submitting.
