Binance App Not Updating
or Gone From Google Play?

If the Binance app vanished from your Play Store or refuses to update, you are probably in one of the affected EU countries. Here is what actually works — and what to avoid.

Short answer: Since late July 2026 the Binance Android app has been removed from Google Play in at least Spain and Latvia (it remains listed in Poland), and neither Binance nor Google has officially explained why. Your installed app keeps working — the problem is only new installs and updates. Fixes below, in order of safety. If you are in the EU, note that new sign-ups, deposits and trading are suspended anyway under the MiCA-related suspension.

What Works, Safest First

Keep using the installed app. Removal from the store does not disable an app that is already on your phone. It keeps functioning; you just will not receive updates through Google Play while the listing is gone in your country.
Check whether it is actually your country. The removal is country-by-country, not EU-wide. Confirmed missing: Spain and Latvia. Confirmed still listed: Poland. If a VPN is set to another region or your Play account country differs from where you live, the store you see may not match your location.
If you must reinstall: use only Binance’s own APK. Binance publishes its Android APK on binance.com. Download it there and nowhere else — fake Binance APKs are a common phishing vector, and a wallet app is the worst possible place for one. Sideloading requires enabling installs from unknown sources; turn that permission off again afterwards.
Alternative Android stores exist, with the same caution. In Spain the app has been reported still available via some manufacturer stores (for example Oppo’s App Market). Only use a store that came preinstalled by your phone maker — not third-party APK sites.
iPhone users: no confirmed change. The reports concern Google Play. No equivalent App Store removal had been confirmed at the time of writing.

Why is the Binance app gone from Google Play?
Neither Binance nor Google has issued an official explanation. Binance has said Google updated policies affecting crypto app availability in certain markets and that it is working to restore access. The timing follows Binance’s withdrawn MiCA application and its 1 July 2026 EU service suspension, but no statement formally links the two.
Will my installed Binance app stop working?
