What Matters When Comparing VPN Providers
Jurisdiction includes the parent company
A provider based outside the 5/9/14 Eyes alliances can still have a parent company headquartered inside one. Both levels belong in the assessment — we name the parent where it differs.
Audits: who, when, which standard
“Independently audited” means little without the auditor, the year and the standard. We list the firm, the year and the standard; where a provider gives conflicting totals, we say so and state no count.
Device limits and real cost
