Crypto Guides
In-depth crypto exchange tutorials, fee breakdowns and side-by-side comparisons. Every guide is researched and written by Sascha Martins, the site’s founder, against the operators’ published pages.
All Crypto Guides
Exchange guides built around the numbers that actually change what you pay: base-tier maker and taker fees, whether a venue holds a MiCA licence after the July 2026 transition, and which fiat rails still work for EU residents.
Start here: what the crypto guides tell you
Crypto exchange fee comparison 2026 – base-tier maker and taker rates for Bybit, Binance, OKX and Bitget as published by each exchange (read 8 July 2026; Binance and Bybit re-checked 22 September 2026): spot 0.10% maker and taker on both Binance and Bybit, USDT perpetuals 0.020% maker / 0.050% taker on Binance and 0.020% / 0.055% on Bybit.
Bybit fees explained – how the VIP tiers are earned by asset balance or 30-day volume and what maker orders save; the affiliate code PCNVIP changes neither the fee schedule nor Bybit’s new-user rewards (see Bybit fee stacking).
Binance fee discount stacking – the referral code PRM26 rebates 20% of spot and margin fees for the life of the account (up to 20% on futures for 12 months, paid in USDC); with the 25% BNB discount the combined spot saving is 40%, not 45%. Not available to new EU/EEA users since 1 July 2026.
EU status – the MiCA-licensed exchanges tracker lists the venues open to EEA residents after the 1 July 2026 transition (checked against the ESMA register on 22 September 2026), Binance EU suspension explains what happened to Binance accounts, and Crypto updates logs dated listings, delistings and regulation changes.
What Matters When Comparing Crypto Exchanges
Fee tier, not headline rate
Every exchange advertises its lowest tier. What you actually pay depends on 30-day volume, whether you are maker or taker, and whether you hold the exchange token. A 0.10% versus 0.40% base gap compounds fast at volume.
Licence status, not brand size
Since the MiCA transition ended on 1 July 2026, the biggest name is not automatically an available one. Binance withdrew its application and suspended EU services; Coinbase, OKX, Kraken and Bybit’s EU entity hold licences. Check the entity, not the brand.
Withdrawal and settlement costs
Futures settlement fees and network withdrawal charges sit outside the advertised trading fee and can outweigh it on smaller positions. We list them where an exchange publishes them.
Where our numbers come from
Fee figures come from each exchange’s published schedule; coin counts use one common third-party source with a single methodology so comparisons stay like-for-like. Conflicts between sources are stated rather than averaged away.
About These Guides
Sascha Martins writes every guide on Promo Code Network and runs the site alone. Affiliate relationships are disclosed in the footer of each guide, and the date on which an operator’s figures were read is printed on the page.
