Bybit Fees Explained 2026: Complete Breakdown
Every fee Bybit charges in 2026, with real cost examples and how the PCNVIP referral code’s 20% discount applies in practice.
- Bybit base spot fee: 0.100% maker, 0.100% taker.
- With code PCNVIP: 0.080% maker, 0.080% taker (20% lifetime discount).
- Base futures fee: 0.020% maker, 0.055% taker.
- Deposits are free, withdrawal fees flat per coin per network.
- Bybit liquidation fee is 0.075% – one of the lowest in the industry.
Spot Trading Fees
Spot trading on Bybit uses the standard maker/taker model. The maker (you place a limit order that rests on the order book) and the taker (you take liquidity immediately) pay the same 0.100% on Level 1. With the PCNVIP referral code applied, both rates drop to 0.080%.
Concrete example on a $5,000 USDT spot trade:
- Without code: $5,000 x 0.100% = $5.00 fee per side, $10.00 round trip
- With PCNVIP: $5,000 x 0.080% = $4.00 fee per side, $8.00 round trip
- Annual saving on 100 such round trips: $200
Derivative (Futures) Fees
Bybit’s perpetual contracts use a different fee tier than spot:
- Maker: 0.020% (rebate-style, you provide liquidity)
- Taker: 0.055% (you take liquidity)
- With PCNVIP: 0.016% maker, 0.044% taker
Fees apply to the full notional position size, not your margin. A $1,000 position with 10x leverage means $10,000 notional, so taker fee is $10,000 x 0.055% = $5.50.
Funding Rate (Not a Fee to Bybit)
Funding is paid between long and short position holders every 8 hours to keep the perpetual price aligned with spot. Bybit charges no markup on this mechanism. Current funding rates are publicly visible on every contract’s trading page. On normal market days funding rates are between -0.01% and +0.01%. On extreme days they can exceed 0.05% – meaning a $10,000 leveraged position pays $5 every 8 hours, or $15 per day, to the opposite side.
Withdrawal Fees
Withdrawals are charged a flat fee per coin per network, set by Bybit to cover blockchain costs plus a small margin:
- BTC: 0.0005 BTC (Bitcoin network) – approximately $30 at current rates
- USDT TRC-20: 1 USDT (Tron network)
- USDT ERC-20: 10 USDT (Ethereum network)
- ETH ERC-20: 0.0035 ETH – approximately $10
- SOL: 0.01 SOL – approximately $1.50
Choosing the cheapest available network for your destination wallet is the single biggest fee optimization for active withdrawers. TRC-20 USDT costs 10x less than ERC-20 USDT.
Liquidation Fees on Bybit
If a leveraged futures position is liquidated, Bybit charges a liquidation clearance fee of 0.075% of the position’s notional value. This is in addition to the loss of margin. Bybit’s liquidation fee is dramatically lower than several competitors (Binance, OKX and Bitget all charge 0.50%), making Bybit notably cheaper for traders who use higher leverage where liquidation risk is meaningful.
Withdrawal Limits
Daily withdrawal limits depend on account verification level. KYC1-verified accounts can withdraw up to 1,000,000 USDT equivalent per day. Non-KYC accounts are limited to 20,000 USDT equivalent per day.
Hidden Costs to Watch
- Spread: on low-liquidity pairs, the order book spread can exceed the fee. Check the order book before trading altcoins outside the top 20.
- Slippage: market orders on large size can fill below quoted price. Use limit orders for $10k+ trades.
- Network gas: deposits and withdrawals on Ethereum incur gas costs paid to miners, separate from Bybit’s withdrawal fee.
