Crypto Guides
In-depth crypto exchange tutorials, fee breakdowns and side-by-side comparisons. Every guide is researched and tested by Promo Code Network editors before publication.
All Crypto Guides
Exchange guides built around the numbers that actually change what you pay: base-tier maker and taker fees, whether a venue holds a MiCA licence after the July 2026 transition, and which fiat rails still work for EU residents.
What Matters When Comparing Crypto Exchanges
Fee tier, not headline rate
Every exchange advertises its lowest tier. What you actually pay depends on 30-day volume, whether you are maker or taker, and whether you hold the exchange token. A 0.10% versus 0.40% base gap compounds fast at volume.
Licence status, not brand size
Since the MiCA transition ended on 1 July 2026, the biggest name is not automatically an available one. Binance withdrew its application and suspended EU services; Coinbase, OKX, Kraken and Bybit’s EU entity hold licences. Check the entity, not the brand.
Withdrawal and settlement costs
Futures settlement fees and network withdrawal charges sit outside the advertised trading fee and can outweigh it on smaller positions. We list them where an exchange publishes them.
Where our numbers come from
Fee figures come from each exchange’s published schedule; coin counts use one common third-party source with a single methodology so comparisons stay like-for-like. Conflicts between sources are stated rather than averaged away.
