Binance FAQ

Short answers to the questions people ask before and after registering on Binance: the referral code, what the fees are, what KYC changes, what the EU suspension since 1 July 2026 means, and how withdrawals and delistings work. Every answer comes from Binance’s own pages or from our test registration; the full detail is on the Binance referral code page.

Referral code and rewards

What is the Binance referral code in 2026?
PRM26. Entered in the Referral ID field at registration, it gives the account a 20% rebate on trading fees (spot for the life of the account, up to 20% on futures for the first 12 months) and access to Binance’s tiered new-user reward vouchers.
How much does the referral code actually save?
20% of each fee. At 5,000 USD of spot volume a month that is about 12 USD a year; at 50,000 USD a month about 120 USD. The rebate is credited in USDC within hours, so it appears in your balance rather than as a smaller fee on the trade ticket.
Can I add a referral code after I have registered?
Only within 30 days of registration, and only if the account has no deposit, no trade and no existing referral, is a parent account and its KYC data has not been used elsewhere in the past 180 days (Binance Referral Pro FAQ, checked 22 September 2026). Otherwise the standard fee applies permanently; closing an account to re-register can void all rebates.
Is the up-to-19,800 USD bonus paid in cash?
No. It is the maximum total value of task-based vouchers released in tiers after identity verification, deposits and trading volume. Most users unlock a fraction of it, vouchers carry expiry dates, and Binance assigns no reward tasks to accounts that have not completed KYC within 30 days of registration.
What is the difference between a referral code and an invitation link?
Nothing in effect: the link pre-fills the code, the code does the same thing typed manually. Both attach the referrer and set the rebate. Details on code vs invitation link.
Why is the referral code not accepted?
Usually because the account already exists, the code was typed into the wrong field, or Binance does not accept new users from your country. The causes and fixes are on referral code not working.

Fees and KYC

What are Binance’s trading fees?
0.10% maker and taker on spot at the base tier, 0.020% maker and 0.050% taker on USDT-margined futures. Paying spot fees in BNB takes 25% off, VIP tiers by 30-day volume lower the rate further, and the referral rebate applies on top of whichever tier you reach.
Do I need KYC to trade on Binance?
Yes. Binance requires identity verification with a government ID before deposits, trading and withdrawals. The referral fee rebate starts with your first trade; the reward vouchers require completed KYC, and tasks are only assigned if KYC is done within 30 days of registration.
How long until the rebate shows up?
The rebate is calculated hourly and paid in USDC to the spot wallet within about six hours. If it does not appear after a day of trading, check under Account → Referral that a rebate rate is shown; if the field is empty, no code was attached at signup. More on rebate payout time.
Can I combine the referral rebate with BNB and VIP discounts?
Yes. BNB fee payment (25% off spot) and VIP tiers reduce the fee charged; the referral rebate then returns 20% of whatever fee remains. How the three combine is worked through in fee discount stacking.

Where Binance works

Can EU residents use Binance in 2026?
Not as new users. Binance withdrew its MiCA application on 24 June 2026 and stopped EU/EEA sign-ups, trading and deposits on 1 July 2026. Existing EU accounts can withdraw. What that means in practice is covered in the EU suspension guide.
Does Binance work in Germany?
Not for new users since 1 July 2026: Germany is in the EEA, so the suspension applies. Existing German accounts are withdraw-only. Licensed alternatives for German residents are listed on the MiCA exchange tracker.
Does Binance work in Switzerland?
Yes. Switzerland is not in the EEA, so the EU suspension does not apply; Swiss residents can register, verify and trade. Our own test registration with PRM26 was made from Switzerland.
Is Binance available in the US or the UK?
binance.com is geoblocked in the US; Binance.US is a separate company with its own programme and is not available in every state. In the UK, Binance is not authorised by the FCA to serve retail customers. Options for other restricted countries are on restricted countries.

Withdrawals, delistings and the app

How do EU users withdraw their funds from Binance?
In this order: redeem Earn products first, check the delisting deadlines for any affected coins, then withdraw in crypto to a licensed exchange or your own wallet, since SEPA rails for EU residents are suspended. The step-by-step is on how to withdraw as an EU user.
What happens when Binance delists a coin I hold?
Spot pairs close on the announced date and withdrawals stay open for a period afterwards; in the August 2026 round, withdrawals for the delisted tokens run until 17 October 2026. Deposits stop being credited earlier. Current deadlines for Binance and other exchanges are kept on delisted coin: deadlines and options.
Why is the Binance app missing from Google Play?
Binance’s Android app was removed from Google Play in several EU countries after the July 2026 changes. An installed app keeps working; updates are the problem. Safe ways to install and update, official APK only, are on app not updating.
Where do I enter the referral code in the app?
On the registration screen, behind the “Referral ID (optional)” field, which is collapsed by default on mobile. It must be filled before the account is created. Screens for iOS and Android are on entering the code in the app.
